Lisa’s PA Hire agrees to hire equipment to the hirer for the duration of a hire period.
Unless delivery is arranged between Lisa’s PA Hire and the hirer, the hirer will collect the equipment from Lisa’s PA Hire’s premises at a specified and arranged time and date, and return the same equipment in the same condition (reasonable wear and tear excepted) within 24 hours of it being collected for a daily hire. All other hire durations will be stated between Lisa’s PA Hire and the hirer.
If delivery is arranged between Lisa’s PA Hire and the hirer, Lisa’s PA Hire will deliver the equipment to the hirer’s premises at a specified and arranged time and date, and collect the same equipment in the same condition (reasonable wear and tear excepted) within 24 hours of it being delivered for a daily hire. All other hire durations will be stated between Lisa’s PA Hire and the hirer.
Transportation and delivery costs and the costs of redelivery of the equipment will be payable in addition to the hire charges where applicable.
Where applicable, the hirer will be responsible for reimbursing the sound engineer’s costs of transportation to and from the hirer’s premises at the beginning and end of the hire period.
The hirer will pay hire charges by the end of the hire period against Lisa’s PA Hire’s invoice.
The hirer will pay any deposit on signature of a hire agreement.
The deposit will be repaid to the hirer (without interest) upon expiry of the hire period and following the return of the equipment to Lisa’s PA Hire in at least as good condition as it was delivered to the hirer or collected by the hirer at the beginning of the hire period (fair wear and tear excepted). Any damage or unpaid hire charge may be deducted from the deposit by Lisa’s PA Hire. The deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation by the hirer.
All invoices must be settled by the end of the hire period. Any late payment will entitle Lisa’s PA Hire to interest on the overdue amount at 3% p.a. above the base rate of Lloyds TSB Bank.
If Lisa’s PA Hire terminates this agreement before expiry of the hire period on account of the hirer’s default or breach of contract, the hirer will remain liable to Lisa’s PA Hire for all hire charges which are unpaid and all hire charges which would have become due if the hire period had continued for its full duration.
The hirer is responsible for obtaining all consents and authorisations that are needed to enable the hirer lawfully to use the equipment at the hirer’s premises.
The hirer will, at their own expense, install the equipment and provide all services and works to enable the equipment to be used at the hirer’s premises.
The hirer will keep the equipment in good repair and condition (reasonable wear and tear excepted) throughout the hire period and will comply with all instructions for the use of the equipment which are notified to the hirer by Lisa’s PA Hire.
The hirer will keep the equipment safe and protected against adverse weather as well as against risk of loss or theft while at the hirer’s premises.
The hirer will not use the equipment except for the purposes for which it is supplied by Lisa’s PA Hire, nor will the hirer exceed the floor loading capacity of the equipment.
The hirer will ensure that all labels on the equipment identifying it as the property of Lisa’s PA Hire will be maintained in place throughout the hire period. Also, the hirer will, upon request, give Lisa’s PA Hire access to inspect the equipment during normal business hours.
The hirer will immediately notify Lisa’s PA Hire of any damage occurring to the equipment during the hire period.
The hirer will not assign, sublet or part with possession of the equipment during the hire period.
Lisa’s PA Hire will maintain insurance of the equipment against fire, lightning, explosion and other similar risks during the hire period. The terms of Lisa’s PA Hire’s policy will be made available to the hirer upon request and the hirer will be deemed to have knowledge of those terms.
If the equipment is damaged or breaks down during the hire period through no fault of the hirer, Lisa’s PA Hire will endeavour to repair or, at its option, replace the equipment with suitable alternative equipment. However, Lisa’s PA Hire will only replace the equipment if it has alternative equipment available.
The hirer will indemnify Lisa’s PA Hire for loss of or damage to the equipment while it is under the control of the hirer. The hirer will also indemnify Lisa’s PA Hire against any claims or proceedings arising in respect of personal injury or death of any person or damage to any property, which arises out of the use of the equipment during the hire period. These indemnities will extend to any loss which is covered by Lisa’s PA Hire's insurance.
When requesting a price match as part of Lisa’s PA Hire’s Price Promise service the following conditions must be met: Lisa’s PA Hire must be able to verify the alternative rate is both available and hireable from another retailer. Lisa’s PA Hire must verify the claim to their reasonable satisfaction. The claim must be based on a like for like comparison of the same make and model of equipment as that offered by Lisa’s PA Hire. The equipment at the lower price must not be a special offer price, a discount, a promotional price or part of a package. The equipment at the lower price must be offered in the same currency as that of the hire with Lisa’s PA Hire. Only one claim can be made per person per month.
In order to redeem the student discount a valid NUS card will be required.
